About John Deere
In 1837, John Deere invented his first successful steel plow that started his fame in the farming industry. The steel plow had been popular for its self-polishing capability. The self-cleaning steel plow had been a word of mouth among farmers ever since. The steel plow had not only been tough on the rich Midwestern soil but it also made the hard work fast. It is due to the plow’s self-cleaning ability.
At that time, farming tools were only made when a customer placed an order. However, John Deere changed that idea. Instead of waiting for customers to place an order, he continued to hammer new steel plows. Deere showed again his ingenuity by introducing a new way of doing business.
