The Story behind His Success
When you talk about farming equipment, John Deere will never be out of the picture. John Deere is one of the most successful businessmen on earth. For more than a hundred years, Deere had made it to be one of the most recognized producers of tractors and other farm equipments in the world.
John Deere tractors are known for its quality and versatility. One of the good traits that John Deere has is the ability to adapt to the needs of his customers. His company was able to bring solution to the needs of the farming industry.
The first successful product of Deere is the Waterloo Boy introduced during World War I. This tractor was a success for a few years. Waterloo Boy was also known as the Froelich tractor. Deere was able to sell this tractor up until 1923 before they introduced another model, The Spoker Model D.
The Model D has been into production for a long time. However, in 1925 they felt the need to change some of its features to adjust to the needs of the farming industry. The steel wheels have been very difficult to maneuver on hard surfaces. Moreover, its safety has become an issue.
As an alternative, they installed rubber tires which enable the tractor to gain more grip on both hard and soft surfaces. Moreover, maneuverability has greatly improved. There have been more models that followed and all were designed to meet the increasing needs of the farming industry. Today, John Deere still leads the market when it comes to farming equipments.
